Sporotrichosis is a subacute to chronic infection caused by the dimorphic fungal genus Sporothrix. The usually affects skin and subcutaneous tissues, but occasionally it can occur at other sites, mainly in immunocompromised patients. symptoms of extracutaneous sporotrichosis be subtle diagnosis often delayed. A 54-year-old male was received, originally from Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca; who with an established type 2 diabetes mellitus; later admitted general surgery service necrotizing fasciitis left right thoracic limb. When culture collected Sporothrix schenckii report, management itraconazole, potassium iodide subsequent addition amphotericin B, antibiotic therapy directed for superinfection opportunistic agents. After multiple surgical cleanings degradation necrotic tissue, implementation negative pressure system amputation nonviable fingers, decided proceed application autografts, despite persistence agent reports, which are fully integrated, without evidence new ulcerodular lesions so far. Although there currently no parameters defined literature that guide time or appropriate conditions perform grafts areas affected cutaneous sporotrichosis, are, on contrary, reports successful cases where has been effective even presence positive cultures schenckii. We consider these results open panorama options current making necessary therapeutic range same, allowing deliberation more conservative before failure classical imminence amputation.
